In response to the limited number of beds in Multnomah County’s overnight shelters, the Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross and the City of Portland are partnering to support those that have nowhere to go on nights when the weather is life threatening. The Title Wave Used Bookstore sells retired Multnomah County Library materials at discounted prices. The store is run almost entirely by approximately 70 volunteers who sort, check, price, and shelve materials from the library’s 17 locations. Volunteers must be able to lift, bend and stoop. They also must be able to stand for most of the duration of the shift. Volunteers must be able to alphabetize and enjoy organizing. Capacity: 14 learn more
