United Way's Cornerstone Partners cover our overhead costs so that 100% of contributions received go to support local programs. We also work hard to keep costs as low as possible.
At the end of our most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2011, our overhead ratio was 14.2%. Administrative cost for management and general operations was a very competitive 6.4%. Our fundraising expense was 7.8% which covers the four-county region and helps over 1,000 companies run employee-giving campaigns.
We are committed to using donations effectively and wisely. But don’t just take our word for it. Charity Navigator, one of the country’s top independent charity evaluators gives United Way of the Columbia-Willamette its highest 4-star rating for exceeding industry standards for fiscal accountability.

We are proud of our low overhead expense.
