United Way Worldwide Community Conversations Report

In 2012, United Ways around the world sat down for conversations with community members about building the opportunity to thrive for everyone: what it means, how much opportunity we have and what we need to do so that more in our community can thrive. We were excited to participate in these conversations. The final report shows a strong commonality in what people all around the world are saying. It connects strongly to our new focus on breaking the cycle of poverty for children and families in our community.

Domestic Violence Inventory

Nationally, one in four women and one in seven men experience domestic/partner violence in their lifetime. When so many live in unsafe homes, it affects our whole community.

In 2010, United Way completed this inventory of domestic violence and available services to combat it in the four-county area. Together, we can work to prevent and respond to domestic violence in our community.

Community Needs Assessment

Community Needs Assessment

This report identified areas of critical need in Clackamas, Clark, Multnomah and Washington counties that are also funding priorities for United Way.

The report was developed based on input from community leaders, county, state and city representatives, volunteers and donors, and referencing research produced at the national, state and county levels.

This regional research is the first step in our funding model and provides the information necessary to invest in projects that will have the greatest impact in the community.
