United Way distributes $223K in emergency aid

The United Way of the Columbia-Willamette distributed nearly a quarter of a million dollars in emergency aid to organizations throughout the metro area. United Way gave $223,000 from its Community Relief Fund to 16 local organizations on Monday. All of the organizations help residents with emergency food, rent and utilities.
These Clark County organizations received money:

Share: $7,802.48
YWCA of Clark County: $6,241.98
Salvation Army of Clark County: $14,044.47
Inter-Faith Treasure House: $1,560.50

This is eighth distribution of Community Relief Fund money. The money is allocated based on a percentage agreed upon by the recipient organizations. It helps pay for basic needs.
