2009 Corporate Leadership Award Winner

Intel Oregon’s campaign raised $5.9 million, representing a 12% increase over last year’s total and set another giving record. Employee contributions accounted for a majority of those dollars which reached an unprecedented $2.9 million in pledges, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Intel Foundation.

Intel Corporation is also a proud contributor to United Way’s Cornerstone Partnership, which   allows companies to designate their corporate gifts to underwrite overhead costs for United Way of the Columbia-Willamette.  100% of Intel’s donations will fund essential programs to help thousands of people in the four-county area who are struggling to adapt to a difficult economy.

"It's staggering how much Intel Oregon’s campaign raised this year to assist Oregonians,” said Jill Eiland, Intel Oregon’s Corporate Affairs Manager, “but I know our employees feel they can never do enough.”

At a community celebration, Intel Oregon honored the generosity and volunteerism among its employees with live music and entertainment at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. Also at the Pioneer Square celebration, Intel kicked off a volunteer drive with Hands On Greater Portland, to encourage even greater volunteerism among Portland residents.
