United Way Funded Projects
Current Community Investment Grants
United Way provides grant funding to 25 projects involving more than 150 collaborating partners in the areas of education, income, and health. We also invest in strategic partnerships and initiatives that are vital to our community. This includes:
- 211info
- Hands on Greater Portland
- Born Learning
- Earned Income Tax Credit
- Project Access NOW
- Community Relief Fund
We base our funding decisions on extensive research on community needs. Vision Council volunteers who represent the four-county area's diversity make recommendations to the Board of Directors on funding decisions.
