Leadership
United Way of the Columbia Willamette is governed by volunteer community leaders representing business, government, education, nonprofits, the faith community, and a diversity of ages, cultures and ethnicities. All functions of our organization are also overseen by volunteer committees comprised of individuals who provide United Way with valuable insight, leadership and expertise.

Board of Directors
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Board of Directors is composed of leaders from throughout our community. As members of the Board, these volunteers are charged with the responsibility of assuring the integrity of our organization by overseeing financial, structural and policy decisions that guide the organization, volunteers and staff.

Campaign Cabinet
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Campaign Cabinet includes leaders from both the public and private sectors of our community. Cabinet members work to help increase community participation in the United Way campaign. Their leadership is critical to the success of the annual fund-raising effort.

Community Impact Volunteers
Our Community Impact volunteers who serve on both a Cabinet and four Vision Councils, work to understand the complex social issues that impact our community. The Cabinet recommends overall strategies, makes funding decisions and monitors progress toward our overall community goals while the Vision Councils have experience and knowledge in the following areas: health/human services delivery, policy-making, public planning, advocacy, public education and communications, community-building, outcomes/performance measurement, “best practices,” and program development.

Marketing and Communications
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Branding Committee includes community volunteers with professional experience and expertise in the areas of marketing, communications, special events and public relations. They advise United Way's professional staff on how to effectively communicate the organization's mission of helping people, changing lives, making every contribution count.

Finance Committee
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Finance Committee includes community volunteers who have professional experience and expertise in finance. The committee provides assistance to the Board in fulfilling its financial oversight responsibility.

Human Resources Committee
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Human Resources Committee includes community volunteers who have professional experience and expertise in Human Resources and Organizational Development. They work with the Human Resources department to make sound decisions for United Way employees and the organization as a whole.

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s Young Leaders Steering Committee includes community volunteers who are interested in supporting and influencing the long-term impact of community involvement through leadership development, networking, philanthropy and volunteerism.
