At United Way of the Columbia-Willamette our mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities and advance equity by mobilizing the caring power of people across our region.

We’re working hard to create a future where kids in our region are free from instability and worry so they can be free to play and discover, free to learn and grow.

For 100 years, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette has been on the ground helping those in need. We have a simple, ambitious vision – to invest in our region’s kids so they are free from poverty, free to learn, grow and reach their potential.

When the COVID-19 crisis hit, we quickly responded to the surge in demand for social services. With vetted nonprofit partners across our four counties (Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington Counties, OR and Clark County, WA), we quickly mobilized a Community Safety Net to provide vulnerable families with access to critical services such as short-term housing assistance, utilities assistance and access to food.

We are grateful to donors and community members like you who continue to support us during this unprecedented time of need.

The pandemic continues to test our community and collective strength. As we shift to a path toward resiliency, we remain committed to racial equity in our mission and work, and our longstanding partnerships with culturally-specific as well as culturally-responsive organizations to ensure our recovery efforts reach the families and communities being hit the hardest by COVID-19.

Find out how your support has helped our community in our COVID-19 report.
